Super Typhoon 'Yolanda' nearing PAR, Let us offer a prayer

According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration  (PAG-ASA)  as of Today November 6, 2013 at 9:30am. The eye of the Typhoon ("HAIYAN") over the Pacific Ocean was located at 1,411 km East of Mindanao (7.4°N 139.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 150 kph and gustiness of up to 185 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 30 kph. This weather disturbance is expected to enter The Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow early morning (November 7). It is expected to make landfall over Samar-Leyte Provinces by Friday (Between 11am-1pm, November 8) and to exit The Philippine Area of Responsibility by Sunday Early Morning (November 10). 

The Super-storm Haiyan, will be named “Yolanda” when it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

According to RPN-dxKS - Local Radio Station in Surigao, the Province Surigao del Norte Governor Sol Matugas orders suspension of capitol work and classes for the province on Friday, November 8, 2013 to keep watch and prepare security measures for the coming super typhoon Yolanda. She urges every Surigaonon to pray that we be safe from this threat. The provincial government will offer a mass at 4:30P.M. today November 6, 2013 at the Provincial Convention Center, and order every municipal disaster risk reduction council to prepare.

In Surigao City, the City disaster Risk Reduction Management Council will hold a meeting today 2:00P.M. at the City Mayor's Office Conference Room.
